I have rejuvenated an ancient crabapple tree, and am enjoying the sweet-tart bounty from its new lease on life. I probably won’t attempt jelly again but I will eat all the crabapple sauce my tree can provide.
Creating the gardens has been a laborious and never-ending endeavor that I have never grown tired of. Sunburnt, filthy, bruised, sodden, and teetering on exhaustion, yes. But never tired of it. It sustains me, in more ways than one.
