A Beautiful Way to Organize Your Garden

Keep track of every plant, garden bed, and task in one simple, connected Notion system — designed by a gardener, for gardeners.

Why Gardeners Need More Than a Notebook or Spreadsheet

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You find an old plant tag and realize you have no idea where that plant ended up.
  • You plant something new, then completely forget when (or whether) it needs fertilizing.
  • Something comes up in spring and you can’t remember what you planted there.
  • You wish you could see at a glance when everything in a particular bed will bloom, and in what color and height.
  • You think of something important while in the garden and wish you had a place to jot it down before you forget.

Most gardeners keep notes scattered across notebooks, spreadsheets, and scraps of paper.

The Flowerwise Garden Organizer brings everything together — beautifully — so you can plan, track, and grow with ease.

Frequently Asked Questions

Notion is an app that functions as an all-in-one digital notebook and organizer.
Instead of using separate apps for notes, calendars, to-do lists, and spreadsheets, Notion lets you keep everything together in one place. You can create pages for projects, tasks, or ideas, then fill them with notes, checklists, tables, images, or whatever you need. It’s real strength is that it allows you to organize your information with relational databases (data connected to related data).

Think of it like a visual binder that never runs out of paper — but you can design the sections however you want and easily connect related information. Some people use it for personal planning, some for running a business, and others for managing whole teams.

In short: Notion is a flexible workspace where you can write things down, stay organized, and build a system that works the way you work.

Notion has a free version that works really well for most individuals.
You can create unlimited pages and use it on your phone, tablet, or computer without paying anything.

If you want extra features — like adding larger file size uploads, working with a whole team, built-in AI or advanced tools for businesses — there are paid plans. Those usually start at around $8–10 per month if you pay annually.

For most people just starting out, the free plan is plenty. You only need to upgrade if you want more storage, collaboration tools, or advanced features like AI.

Yes, Notion has a mobile app. In fact, that is what made this system a game changer for me – I have my iPhone or iPad in the garden all the time, and I can quickly take notes, review resources, capture ideas and check off tasks while I’m on the move. It’s not as easy to use as full screen but it works!

That depends.

If you already have Notion and/or want to learn the basics yourself, purchasing the template is a very affordable DIY route. Just know it doesn’t come with support or documentation beyond the overviews and “getting started” documentation that I built in.

If you want more help to get set up and start using it, the Garden Organizer Plus tier, the template + training plan, is the fastest and most affordable approach for busy gardeners who want to get up and running quickly.
And if you start with the basic template and get stuck, you can upgrade to get access to the video library later.

For those who need even more, I offer set up, customization and one-on-one training for either an hourly or project rate. In this case, I would start with the blank template and depending on your needs, set it up, help populate it with content, or make customizations to the existing system to meet your needs. Just let me know.

And lastly, I’m available for full custom builds in Notion. Perhaps you own a nursery or landscaping business and want to have a solution built which mirrors your own processes, integrates with other systems, and includes training for your employees. The sky is the limit. I’m focused on Notion for horticultural businesses but really, open to discussing anything!

That is really going to depend on your experience and comfort level with technology and data. Once a system is set up, like the garden organizer is, it’s actually really simple to use. Anyone can build in Notion, but there is a significant learning curve in setting it up RIGHT. Designing a Notion system depends on the complexity of your needs, and understanding of data architecture. That is why I am offering a complex template that took me months to build and refine as a starting point – because once you have that, you can quickly just start using it to organize your gardening life. And if you prefer, I also am offering a video library for those who want to watch and learn. The initial Quick Start videos are only a half hour total – and you’ll be ready to roll.

But wait! I thought you said you were a gardener?

I am! But until recently, it was only my passion. Professionally, I have always bridged marketing and technology and that geek streak found it’s way into my gardening process.

Notion was the first tool that melded my gardening lifestyle with my technical work. I found it transformative to how I organize my gardening endeavors and I want to share. But should you consider hiring me for custom builds, know that in my career, I’ve specialized in:

Designed and built databases of different types and purposes for more than 25 years.

Systems Architecture
